Infineon Technologies USB Type-C™ EZ-PD PMG1 Family are high-voltage USB Type-C Power Delivery (PD) microcontrollers (MCUs). The Infineon Technologies USB-C EZ-PD PMG1 chips feature an Arm® Cortex®-M0/M0+ CPU, USB Type-C PD controller, and analog and digital peripherals. The devices are designed for embedded systems that transfer power through high-voltage USB Type-C PD ports, enhancing control capabilities.

USB Type-C™ EZ-PD™ PMG1-S2

Infineon Technologies USB Type-C™ EZ-PD™ PMG1-S2 is designed for Dual Role Port (DRP) USB Type-C PD applications. The Infineon Technologies PMG1-S2 offers 128KB of Flash, 8KB SRAM, 20 GPIOs, a USB device controller, a crypto engine, a 20V-tolerant regulator, and a pair of FETs for 5V (VCONN) supply switching. The device features integrated gate drivers for external VBUS FETs and system-level ESD protection and comes in 40-QFN and 42-CSP packages. This solution optimizes space and BOM while allowing easy customization through the ModusToolbox™ development environment and EZ-PD PMG1 SDK.
