The fully assembled and tested board is powered by the Arm® Cortex®-M3 or 80C51 (IS31FL3235A-QFLS2-EB) with a 5V operating supply voltage. The evaluation boards have multiple display modes.

The MPQ3369-AEC1 is a configurable, constant-frequency, peak current mode step-up converter designed to drive white LED arrays as backlighting for LCD panels. The MPQ3369-AEC1 uses peak current mode as its PWM control architecture to regulate the boost converter. Six current source channels are applied to the LED cathode to adjust LED brightness.
