DRV8884EVM Stepper Motor Driver Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments DRV8884EVM Stepper Motor Driver Evaluation Module (EVM) demonstrates the integrated current sensing capabilities and performance of the DRV8884. The DRV8884 is a 1.0A stepper motor driver with 1/16 micro-stepping and integrated current sensing. The evaluation module includes the DRV8885 to control a stepper motor. The module also houses an MSP430 microcontroller and a USB interface chip. The MSP430F2617 MCU is used to control the Texas Instruments DRV8884 inputs. The USB chip allows for serial communications from a PC, where a Microsoft® Windows® application is used to schedule serial commands. These commands can control each device's signal and drive the stepper motor by issuing the step commands at the desired rate.
