Littelfuse SIDACtor + MOV AC Line Protection offers an innovative method of using a silicon crowbar component known as the SIDACtor Protection Thyristor component for the main overvoltage protection solutions for AC power lines. SIDACtor Crowbar Protection features high surge current capability, low on-state voltage conditions, and lower overshoot during high dv/dt events. Littelfuse SIDACtor + MOV AC Line Protection is ideal for outdoor LED lighting, outdoor AC drives, and CATV Trunk amplifier network systems.

Off-Board Charger Sub-Unit Power Converters

Littelfuse Off-Board Charger Sub-Unit Power Converters are required for DC charging stations capable of charging to 80% SOC in under 30 minutes. These fast-charging applications require modular power converters, which can be paralleled to cater to different power levels, thereby enabling fast charging. The most critical parameters are energy density and system efficiency. A sub-unit power converter in a DC charging station consists of an AC/DC power stage and DC/DC power stage integrated into the charging station.

They are designed to be used in series with clamping devices such as varistors or TVS diodes for protecting AC power input lines. Applications include outdoor LED lighting, CATV networks, power supplies, and inverters. Littelfuse P-0FNL components feature a 3kA 8/20 surge rating. Littelfuse P-0FNL 3kA SIDACtor thyristors exhibit a low offshoot voltage and low on-state voltage with a fast response time. The P-0FNL series is automotive grade AEC-Q101 qualified, RoHS compliant, lead-free, and halogen-free.

High Exposure Surge SIDACtor Protection Thyristors

Littelfuse High Exposure Surge SIDACtor Protection Thyristors are very robust solid-state protection devices intended for use in high-exposure environments. The family includes products specifically designed for primary protection, such as cell and TO-220 devices. The High Surge Current components also feature devices capable of meeting 5kA 8/20µs for use in extreme conditions. For enhanced secondary protection requirements, a D-rated device capable of 1000A 2/10µs is available in a DO-214 package. The Littelfuse High Surge Current Protection family provides an overvoltage protection solution that helps applications comply with Telcordia GR-1089 Issue 4, and ITU-T recommendations K.20, K.21, K.44, and K.45.
