MERUS™ Class-D Audio ICs

Infineon MERUS™ Class-D Audio ICs are multilevel Class-D audio amplifier solutions featuring an embedded digital power management scheme. These ICs consume significantly less input power (~0.25W) and offer high power output in a small form without compromising the produced sound's quality. A power management algorithm dynamically adjusts the switching frequency and modulation scheme to optimize power loss and EMI across the output power range. Flexible power mode profiles allow users to utilize the multilevel switching technique for very low power loss or high audio performance.

PowIRaudio™ IR43xx Integrated Power Modules

Infineon PowIRaudio™ Compact Integrated Power Modules are designed for high performance home theater systems and car audio amplifiers. They each integrate a PWM controller and two digital audio power MOSFETs in a single package, forming a high performance Class D audio amplifier. These integrated power modules offer a highly efficient, compact solution that reduces component count, shrinks PCB size up to 70%, and simplifies Class D amplifier design.

International Rectifier IR43xx Class D Audio Amplifiers

International Rectifier IR43xx Series Audio Amplifier is an integrated analog input Class D audio amplifier in a small 5x6mm PQFN and 7x7mm PQFN44 package. The IR43xx Audio Amplifier from International Rectifier integrates a PWM controller and digital audio MOSFETs, forming a high performance Class D audio amplifier. As a result of co-packing the fully optimized MOSFETs with a dedicated controller IC, the IR43xx operates without a mechanical heatsink attached in a typical music playback usage. High voltage ratings and noise immunity in the controller IC ensure reliable operation of the IR43xx over various environmental conditions. The IRAUDAMPxx Reference Designs are two-channel half-bridge Class D power audio amplifiers used to demonstrate how to use the IR43xx Audio Amplifiers. These reference designs do not require heatsinks or fan cooling for normal operation (one-eighth of continuous rated power). The 2-channel design of the reference designs are scalable for power and the number of channels.
