Vishay Tantalum Capacitors feature tantalum powder that is used in capacitors to allow for a very thin dielectric layer, providing high capacitance values in smaller case sizes. Vishay Tantalum Capacitors offer surface-mount and through-hole tantalum capacitors for use in automotive, military, portable consumer, medical, and many other applications.

T58 vPolyTan™ Solid Tantalum SMT Caps

Vishay / Sprague T58 vPolyTan™ Solid Tantalum SMT Capacitors deliver increased volumetric efficiency for handheld consumer electronics and feature lead-free L-shaped face-down terminations as well as low ESR. Combining polymer tantalum technology with Vishay’s high-efficiency MicroTan™ packaging, the T58 series is offered in a range of molded case codes. Leveraging patented multi-array packaging (MAP) assembly technology, the capacitors provide a 10% improvement in space utilization compared to similar devices, saving PCB space and enabling the design of smaller and thinner end products, including smartphones, tablets, and ultra-thin laptops, in addition to wireless cards, network equipment, and audio amplifiers and pre-amplifiers.

Tantalum Polymer Capacitors

Vishay Tantalum Polymer Capacitors are a family of compact, low-ESR, surface mount capacitors ranging from 1µF - 1000µF capacitance, with operating temperatures from -55°C to +105°C. These capacitors feature molded cases available in multiple case codes (including 0603, 7343, and 0805), with either wraparound or L-shaped, face-down terminations. This tantalum polymer series covers a 2.5VDC to 75VDC voltage rating range and is designed for high-volume manufacturing. Vishay Tantalum Polymer Capacitors are ideal for infrastructure equipment, storage and networking, computer motherboards, smartphones and tablets, decoupling, smoothing, filtering, and more.
