Group Switch Tank Converter Products

YAGEO Group (KEMET, YAGEO, Pulse) Switch Tank Converter (STC) Products are high-efficiency, high-density converters designed for non-isolated DC-DC applications. These devices operate by replacing the large magnetics typically used in converter designs with stacking voltages using switches and capacitors. Polymer Hermetic Seal (PHS) Capacitors

KEMET Polymer Hermetic Seal (PHS) Capacitors are tantalum capacitors with axial through hole and SMD mounting options. These capacitors include a conductive organic polymer that offers low ESR and improved capacitance retention at low temperature and high frequency. The PHS capacitors demonstrate a benign failure mode, which removes the breach case that can occur in wet tantalum capacitors. Typical applications include buck/boost converters, power supplies, and hold-up capacitors.
