VOD3120Ax IGBT & MOSFET Drivers

Vishay VOD3120Ax IGBT and MOSFET Drivers are 2.5A minimum peak output current isolated drivers with increased efficiency for the inverter stages. These drivers employ an AlGaAs LED optically coupled to an integrated circuit with a power output stage. The VOD3120Ax drivers incorporate a rail-to-rail output stage. These drivers offer low voltage drop on its output at 3.5mA low current consumption that increases the efficiency in inverter stages. The VOD3120Ax drivers are suited for driving 1200V/100A-rated IGBTs. These drivers also feature Under Voltage Lock Out (UVLO) hysteresis that protects from malfunction. The VOD3120Ax drivers employ common mode transient immunity that reduces noise issues from high to low voltage areas on the PCB. Typical applications include AC and brushless DC motor drives, induction stove tops, industrial inverters, switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).

CNY Series High Isolation Voltage Optocouplers

Vishay Semiconductors CNY Series High Isolation Voltage Optocouplers are category IV high voltage isolation optocouplers available in a surface mount package. The high isolation voltage SMD version optocouplers consist of a phototransistor optically coupled to a gallium arsenide infrared-emitting diode in a 4 pin plastic package. The single components are mounted opposite one another, providing a distance between input and output for high safety requirements of >3mm. Vishay Semiconductors CNY Series High Isolation Voltage Optocouplers are ideal for such applications as solar equipment, smart meters, and smart grids.                    

Optically Isolated MOSFET Drivers

Vishay Optically Isolated MOSFET Drivers provide the voltage required to drive the gate of a low-voltage MOSFET. The gate voltage is generated by photovoltaic cells, and no power supply is needed on the output side. This simplifies designs when using low-voltage MOSFETS. The single channel VOM1271T provides 8.4 V output voltage with an input forward current of just 10mA. The dual channel VO1263AACTR provides 14.5V output voltage.
