Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP1604C Synchronous Step-Down Converters
Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP1604C Synchronous Step-Down Converters are monolithic buck converters with integrated power MOSFETs that deliver up to 4A of continuous output current. These converters operate from a 2.4V to 5.5V input range and support output voltages as low as 0.4V. The device combines high efficiency with excellent line and load regulation in a compact SOT583 package.
The MPS MP1604C features constant-on-time (COT) control and Forced Continuous Conduction Mode (FCCM) for fast transient response and stable performance. A 1.25MHz switching frequency, power-good indication, and output discharge function simplify power supply design. Integrated protections include short-circuit protection with hiccup mode, current limiting, and thermal shutdown for dependable operation in portable devices, Solid-State Drive (SSD) modules, notebooks, printers, and IP cameras.
