Color Lasers (EEL)

The ams OSRAM is a leading player in colored edge-emitting laser diodes. This comprehensive product portfolio supports various industrial, consumer, medical, and automotive applications.

Laser diodes in the visible spectral range are the ideal light source in industrial, consumer, medical, and automotive markets. Thanks to the device's excellent beam quality, these lasers are ideally suited for the optical imaging of light.

Single-mode lasers are used in many applications, such as Laser leveling, particle detection, scanning, spectroscopy, and pico projection. High-power multi-mode lasers extend the range of applications by material treatment, such as engraving or welding metals, laser projection, and high-luminance light sources.

Color Lasers (VCSEL)

High-power Continuous Wave CW laser diodes are perfect tools in industrial applications for welding or cutting metal sheets. They are used either as a pump source for solid-state or fiber lasers or in direct diode laser systems.

Laser diodes designed for pulse operation are used in LIDAR or Time-of-Flight ToF applications, which are used in autonomous driving vehicles and mobile phones. They can provide distance information or even a 3D image for applications such as face recognition.
