Sensirion Formaldehyde Sensors & Sensor Modules
Sensirion Formaldehyde Sensors and Sensor Modules deliver accurate, selective HCHO measurement for indoor air quality systems. Formaldehyde sensing distinguishes the harmful gas from other commonly present volatile organic compounds, supporting reliable monitoring in air purifiers, air conditioners, ventilation systems, and standalone air quality instruments. The portfolio incorporates dedicated low-power sensing and multi-parameter environmental modules to meet varied integration requirements.
The Sensirion SFA40 is a miniature formaldehyde sensor designed for low-power applications. It provides direct formaldehyde concentration output via an I2C interface and features low cross-sensitivity to ethanol. The factory calibration, compact construction, and low average current consumption support integration into portable and battery-driven monitors.
For more comprehensive environmental monitoring, the SEN68 combines HCHO measurement with particulate matter, relative humidity, temperature, VOC, and NOx sensing. Furthermore, the SEN69C adds CO2 measurement to the platform, providing up to 10 environmental parameters in a single module. These integrated platforms simplify multi-sensor design for advanced indoor air quality and building-management systems.
