KEMET and STMicroelectronics Hot-Swappable Electronic Power Management and Protection Solutions enable the removal and replacement of connected or "hot" parts to keep things running smoothly.
KEMET offers C0G and U2J capacitors that provide ultra-stable capacitance over temperature and voltage. These capacitors feature low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and equivalent series inductance (ESL), giving them high ripple current capability in the MHz region. The KEMET KO-CAP capacitor combines the low ESR of multilayer ceramic, the aluminum electrolytic's high capacitance, and the tantalum's volumetric efficiency into a single surface-mount package. KEMET FLEX SUPPRESSOR is designed to ensure clean electromagnetic environments, suppressing noise at a level surpassing that of ferrite-based devices.
STMicroelectronics features e-fuse products that replace larger conventional fuses, providing cost-effectiveness in production and in the field. These e-fuses include the STEF01, STEF05, and STEF12 series, improving equipment uptime and availability while reducing false returns. STMicroelectronics STPW12 Hot Swap Voltage Controller is a hot-swappable power breaker that is optimized to monitor the input power of the power rail.
