Littelfuse AK6-A Axial Leaded TVS Diodes

Littelfuse AK6-A Axial Leaded TVS Diodes are designed to meet the severe surge-test environment for both AC and DC line-protection applications. These diodes offer a 6kA current rating and are capable of both reflow and wave soldering. The AK6-A TVS diodes feature a very fast response and ultra-low clamping characteristics over traditional Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) solutions. These diodes are connected in series and/or parallel to create a very high surge current protection solution. The AK6-A TVS diodes provide a glass-passivated junction and are halogen-free.

Features

  • Less than one-tenth the size of traditional discrete solutions
  • Both reflow and wave soldering capable
  • Typical failure mode is a short from over-specified voltage or current
