Power Integrations TOPSwitchGaN™ Flyback ICs
Power Integrations TOPSwitchGaN™ Flyback ICs are integrated switched-mode power supplies that extend the maximum output power of a classic flyback converter to 440W. This achievement offers a simpler alternative to complex resonant and LLC topology. The TOPSwitchGaN design monitors an analog feedback current at the control input to modulate the variable-frequency variable-current control. The integrated offline switcher with EcoSmart™ Technology achieves 90% average efficiency between 20% and 100% load. Power Integrations TOPSwitchGaN Flyback ICs help reduce complexity and system cost, improve manufacturability, shorten design time, and, in many cases, eliminate heat sinks. Ideal applications include industrial power supplies, electric vehicle (EV) chargers, appliances, and tools.
