STMicroelectronics STEVAL-PDETECT1 Presence Detection Evaluation Kit is an add-on evaluation kit for STWIN.box, targeting human presence applications. The STMicroelectronics STEVAL-PDETECT1 Kit enables low-power applications and user privacy. The device reduces false triggers with multisensor modalities. Up to three add-on boards can be used simultaneously in a daisy-chain configuration. The kit uses three sensors: STHS34PF80, VL53L8CX, and VD6283TX. The STHS34PF80 sensor measures the amount of IR radiation emitted from an object within its field of view. The VL53L8CX is a multizone (4x4 or 8x8) ToF ranging sensor, enhancing performance under ambient light with reduced power consumption. The VD6283TX (1.83mm x 1.0mm x 0.55mm) is a color sensor with advanced light flicker extraction.
