Würth Elektronik Flat Wire High Current Inductors deliver outstanding performance for next‑generation automotive designs. These inductors are available in the WE‑SFIA and WE‑HCIA series. The flat wire high current inductors offer an AEC-Q200 rating and are suitable for automotive applications. Typical applications include filter chokes for motor electronics, car infotainment, multimedia, non-isolated switch-mode power supplies, and high-end audio power inductors for automotive audio systems.
WE-SFIA Inductors
The WE-SFIA inductors offer a higher current-carrying capacity, providing significant advantages for handling transient current peaks. These inductors offer significantly lower AC losses in high-frequency applications. The WE-SFIA inductors are designed for high-efficiency DC/DC converters, including single and multiphase converters. These inductors are also suitable for buck and boost converters with high saturation currents of up to 150A. The WE-SFIA inductors are available in 3 heights (2010, 2013, and 2016) for maximum design flexibility.
WE-HCIA Inductors
The WE-HCIA inductors are SMD flat wire high current inductors with low losses and low stray fields. These inductors are magnetically shielded and feature a current capacity of up to 36A. The WE-HCIA inductors are suitable for multimedia applications and as a filter choke for motor electronics. These inductors are available in four sizes, including 7030, 7040, 7050, and 1050.
