The MCON 1.2 NextGen connectors offer a sustainable, ultra-robust, and fully compatible alternative to the MCON standard and the Gen2 series. The MCON 1.2 NextGen connectors are designed for harsh automotive environments and are used in applications such as powertrains, safety and security systems, driver information systems, and body and chassis systems.
The TE Connectivity/AMP MCON 1.2 NextGen sealed locking lance connectors, now available from Mouser, also reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by up to 40% without sacrificing functionality. When using an optional biomass-balanced solution, the MCON 1.2 NextGen series further reduces the carbon footprint. The MCON 1.2 sealed locking lance connectors offer enhanced vibration performance (SG4) and an improved connector position assurance (CPA) design to ensure robust and secure connections in automotive applications.
The connectors also feature an integrated secondary lock latch with a large contact area for automatic locking. A 2-lip seal provides a tighter, more secure fit on the housing, and dress covers provide additional protection. The MCON 1.2 NextGen series is a highly versatile solution that uses the same interface across multiple applications in the vehicle and is fully compatible with standard MCON and the Gen2 Series. The MCON 1.2 NextGen connectors are available in two or three positions with a 1.2mm (0.047") mating tab width and a 4mm (0.157") centerline (pitch). The connectors are 48V-ready and ready for automation.
