Renesas Electronics RAA223011 Evaluation & Demonstration Boards
Renesas Electronics RAA223011 Evaluation and Demonstration Boards provide reference designs for low-cost, high-performance AC-DC conversion based on the RAA223011 700V Non-Isolated AC-DC Buck Regulator. The RAA223011 features ultra-low standby power and an integrated 700V MOSFET capable of delivering up to 4.0W output power. It supports output voltage as low as 3.3V. The RAA223011 combines constant off-time control for heavy load and Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) for light-load operation.The Renesas Electronics RAA223011 Evaluation and Demonstration Boards are offered in several configurations for design flexibility.
- The RTKA223011DE0010BU Evaluation Board features an AC-DC conversion circuit from a universal input of 85V to 265VAC to a 12V output with an output current up to 300mA. It is implemented with a high-side float-switching topology, with a switching frequency up to 33kHz. The board is designed on a single-side PCB with a single diode half-wave input rectification. It is pre-compliant with conducted and radiated EMI requirements by EN55022/CISPR 22. The RTKA223011DE0010BU includes the RAA223011 in a SOIC8 package.
- The RTKA223011DE0020BU Evaluation Board features an AC-DC conversion circuit from a universal input of 85V to 265VAC to a 12V output with an output current up to 300mA. It is implemented with a high-side float-switching topology, with a switching frequency up to 30kHz. The RTKA223011DE0010BU includes the RAA223011 in a SOIC7 package.
- The RTKA223011DR0030BU Demonstration Board features an AC-DC conversion circuit from a universal input of 85V to 265VAC to a 24V output with an output current up to 200mA. - The RTKA223011DR0040BU Demonstration Board features an AC-DC conversion circuit from a universal input of 85V to 265VAC to a 24V output with an output current up to 200mA. It is implemented with a high-side float-switching topology, with a switching frequency up to 30kHz. The RTKA223011DR0040BU includes the RAA223011 in a TSOT-23-5 package.
- The RTKA223011DE0000BU Evaluation Board features an AC-DC conversion circuit from a universal input of 85V to 265VAC to a 12V output with an output current up to 300mA. All of the RAA223011 Evaluation and Demonstration Boards include built-in overcurrent, short-circuit, input brownout, and over-temperature protections.
Required Equipment
- AC Power supply capable of generating AC voltage from 85V to 265VAC at 60Hz/50Hz, with at least 100mA output current capability
- Load resistor box with an adjustable value of 40Ω to 120Ω, or an electronics load that can emulate a resistor load or current load up to 300mA
- Multimeters to measure the output voltage and current
- Power meter to measure the AC input power.
