Texas Instruments DLPC23xS-Q1 DLP® Automotive DMDs

Texas Instruments DLPC23xS-Q1 DLP® Automotive DMDs are part of the DLP5530S-Q1 chipset used for interior display applications with a functional safety requirement. The DLP5530S-Q1 chipset includes a 0.55” DMD and the TPS99000S-Q1 System Management and Illumination controller. DMDs integrate an embedded processor with error code correction (SECDED ECC), enabling host control, real-time feedback, on-chip diagnostics, and system monitoring functions. An on-chip SRAM is included to remove the requirement for external DRAM. These DMDs, combined with the TPS99000S-Q1, support high dynamic range dimming of over 5000:1 for HUD applications. The Sub-LVDS 600MHz DMD interface allows high DMD refresh rates to generate seamless and brilliant digital images while simultaneously reducing radiated emissions.

The DLPC23xS-Q1 DMDs are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications. These DMDs are used in digital clusters, navigation, infotainment windshield systems, and wide-field-of-view and augmented reality Head-Up Displays (HUDs).
