Micro Commercial Components (MCC) Battery Management System (BMS) for EVs

Micro Commercial Components (MCC) Battery Management Systems (BMS) analyze the voltage, temperature, current, and battery in real-time for Electrical Vehicles (EVs). These devices optimize performance to prolong the battery's life and help drivers enhance safety while maximizing the driving range on a battery's charge. The BMS alerts the drivers/operators of issues and malfunctions and reports the battery's State Of Charge (SOC) and State Of Health (SOH). Protection features include overcharge, over-discharge, thermal runaway protection, and short-circuit. These BMS are automotive-grade AEC-Q101 qualified and meet ISO 26262 standards.

The BMS optimizes the battery's performance by balancing individual battery cells in real-time, stopping when the battery is full, and shutting down when it overheats.

Charge/Discharge: The BMS must be able to safely charge and discharge the battery pack while preventing overcharging, over-discharging, and short circuits that could cause a fire.

Efficiency: Maximizing the driving range of the vehicle.

ESD and transient suppression: To avoid damaging battery cells and protect from ESD and transient voltage spikes.

Fast switching: The quick charging and discharging of the battery to minimize power losses and maximize efficiency.

High-temperature capability: Withstanding temperatures and worst-case operating conditions.

Low on-resistance: To minimize power losses and maximize efficiency.

Low reverse recovery time: The low Trr is required to minimize voltage spikes and energy losses during switching.
